Kevin and Deliz's Pregnancy Session

Pregnancy, Family Session

One of the many privileges that photographers can have, is witnessing some people's most significant moments, capturing those moments, so that they may relive them again when they look back at their photos. Two years ago I had the honor of photographing Kevin and Deliz's wedding, I was part of a significant moment, a milestone in their relationship.

Now, two years later, I get to catch up with Kevin and Deliz! As a couple they have now reached a new special moment, a new milestone in their relationship, Deliz is 7 months pregnant! Once again I have the privilege of photographing such a beautiful, important moment of their lives.

The session had been planned almost a month in advance, we had settled on a location, and all was going according plan, up until one of the rainiest weeks Puerto Rico has had in the last 5 months or so. The day of the session, it had been pouring rain non stop since the morning, the weather forecast wasn't looking great, still I kept a close eye on the weather, checked the weather radar for rain, and it looked like we might get lucky if we have a little faith, get to the location, and wait for our small break from the rain, and that's what we did. Usually I don't put all my eggs in one basket, specially with weather forecasts, in Puerto Rico it can be raining so much to cause floods, yet a few towns over, people don't see a drop of water. That day, everything lined up perfectly for us, the weather forecast was spot on, and it stopped raining at the time we had coordinated to start the session. We got to the location early, waited in our cars for the rain pass, and JUMPED out as soon as the rain stopped.

Witnessing people's history, and being the person who immortalizes those moments with photos, is not lost on me how privileged I am.
